God HAS won our Jericho!!

Do I hear a "hallelujah" out there? I didn't hear you :) Do I hear another "hallelujah?" How about an, "amen!" How about a, "praise the Lord!" "How can I keep from singing your praise, how amazing is your love!!" PLEASE worship and praise the Lord with us ... A strange sighting at the US Embassy today!

Today at 2:35 PM, Ghana time, a strange sighting was reported at the US Embassy! ********* A caucasian woman carrying a brown baby reportedly let out some "yippees," and "wahoos," while simultaneously doing some dancing and skipping! ********** This was a rare sight to see, as the environment inside the US Embassy in Ghana is generally one of complete silence. This is despite the fact that generally there are dozens of people waiting in chairs for their embassy appointment. Usually the only noise inside the embassy is that of CNN news which plays on a little TV for all of the individuals waiting! ************* The US embassy official reportedly told the woman that she could do anything she wanted to express her the JOY she was feeling! ************* None of the bystanders asked the woman what was going on, but it was clear by the expressions on their faces that they knew! ************* The white woman was bringing the brown baby to the US! Our Story!

"God did not promise a life without pain, nor a life without problems," that was how our Pastor started his sermon today. It took everything in me to hold back my tears. Yet God did promise to be WITH us in the midst of our pain, regardless of if we can feel Him or not. This week I have felt Him in my pain ... through His presence and that of the Holy Spirit, and comfort and through His Word. I have also felt the presence of my Heavenly Father ... through my sweet and thoughtful spouse, through my sweet and thoughtful kids, and through the friend who made us dinner and called me to listen and to encourage me through the rainbow that was in the sky just hours after our sad news, through the friends from work who made us dinner, through the friend who kept e-mailing me and dropped off some delicious pumpkin bread, through the friends who called me even when they didn't have the words to say, through the beautiful flowers I got from a friend,...
