"We are encouraged and pleasantly surprised," were the exact words from our doctors today. What happened today is not typical they proceeded to explain. Typically if a spinal tap is positive there are visible tumors. I told them how thousands of people had been praying for our Jax. Thank you Jesus!! Thank you Jax prayer force. Today was a huge God size miracle!! Our doctors did not expect it!! Our doctors were expecting to find visible tumors!!!
"Praise God from whom all blessings flow."
Despite today's huge miraculous victory, our Jax's cancer fight is far from over. Although there are no tumors in Jax's brain, praise the Lord, there are cancer cells.
Jax will now be having weekly chemo injections into his spine, where they will also be simultaneously removing spinal fluid (which they will continue to test for cancer cells).
Jax will also be starting another cycle of intravenous chemotherapy tomorrow. Two chemo drugs will be used, one of which is a new drug to his treatment. This drug is a very effective and tough drug, Jax will be having a stem cell recovery/transplant on Friday to Lord willing help his body recover more quickly. This drug gives Jax's white cells a huge beating. This drug also leaves the body through our pores, and so Jax will be getting lots of baths in the next few days as the drug can cause rashes and skin problems. The other drug used is one that in the past has made him very nauseas. It's a potentially very tough week for our jewel.
There are two cycles of these chemotherapy drugs scheduled, one tomorrow, and one in a month's
time!! The chemotherapy is scheduled a month a part because that's how long they expect it will take Jax to recover. We are expecting to be inpatient again with Jax by Monday next week (for a fever as this is proving to be typical) and we are expecting to spend a lot of days inpatient throughout the next two months.
Thank you prayer force. We could not do this without you!!
Please continue to, with confidence and praises, beg our Jesus for a complete healing miracle for our Jax.
