Today 6500 people will die of AIDS.
6,000 of those people will leave behind children.
They will join the already 15 million children who have been orphaned to this disease.
Today is World AIDS Orphans Day!
If you are anything like me ... your heart right now is feeling completely OVERHWELMED at the statistice just mentioned ... sixty-five hundred people just from today will die from aids! The math of a total year is uniamaginable - and at a minamal an outrage and injustice!! How is that even possible!!
And then to the math of the precious little souls loosing their loving parents every day ... just from aids!! If my heart was not already shattered in a million pieces, it just went there!!!
BUT don't stop there ... DO SOMETHING!!! Support a ministry caring for persons infected with the disease - whether adults, children or orphans, I don't mean just send them the $30 a month (although this is really good too) ... I mean really SUPPORT them --- CONNECT WITH THEM and ALIGN WITH THEM!! Stand by them, send lots of your resources, pray for them ... get to know them ... AND take it even further adopt a HIV + child!!! This was suggested last week at the conference - if you say you really care about people/children/orphans with hiv ... then DO SOMETHING about it!!!
Also ... EDUCATE yourself ... read "There Is No Me Without You" ... read "Dangerous Surrender" ...

Okay, I couldn't help it today is WORLD ORPHAN DAY - so I jumped on the opportunity just for the moment ... what is clear from last week is that God IS stirring in the Christian community across the nation in all of our hearts for the ORPHAN to stand up and be the CHURCH and SHINE HIS LIGHT ... orphans from aids being a HUGE group of the 143 million orphans!!
