Orphan Sunday is November 7 ...
Is your church doing anything to advocate and educate about the need of the orphans domestically or internatinally??
IF NOT, why not approach your Senior Pastor and see if there is "something" that can be done by your church/at your church?
Wouldn't it be AWESOME if ALL of our churches did something on Orphan Sunday, to advocate, and speak on behalf of the millions of orphans in our world?
The Christian Alliance for Orphans has dedicated a whole website that is LOADED with free resources that can be easily used by churches. http://www.orphansunday.org/resources
Here is one of their videos that is under 2 minutes in length ... the title of the video is "Why Love Orphans!" What a GREAT title ... soooooooo my heart .... but even more importantly, sooooooooooo God's heart! There is a 60 minute video made by Francis Chan ... it is available on the website November 1 ... Our pastor is going to talk about it through his message sunday morning. That evening we are having an hour long meeting to bring awareness and educate our church. Also we will launch Abba's Hands adoption & orphan care a ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church. We are super excited!!! Can't wait to see all that God does through our church, community, state, and world!!!
