A Birthday!

Jase is now THREE YEARS OLD.  He turned 3 yesterday and he was quite stoked to have a Birthday.  All day he kept reminding everyone, especially Kody, that it was HIS birthday (and his cake and his presents and his Happy Birthday sign ...).  It was cute, as he took such pride in it finally being his birthday.  Jase has had to watch all of his siblings have a birthday and he has patiently waited for his turn.

Jase is really a JOY, no kidding around, what can I say!!!
He truly does make every day that MUCH BETTER!
His smile is contagious!
His laugh is infectious!
His playful heart is awesome!
His energy is inspiring!
And his sweet spirit is a gift!

Actually what I REALLY want to say that there are HUNDREDS of other waiting little boys in China's orphanages RIGHT NOW ... waiting for a family.  The precious boys are even PAPER READY (which means that a qualified family can right now apply to adopt them).  Most of them do have some kind of special need, from minor to major.  Jase had "3" identified special needs ... can you tell?  All to say to not completely close the door on adopting special needs, without doing a little bit of research and exploration to find out what special needs really means.  For adopting from China, special needs means any imperfection - even a birth mark.  Yep, it is true.  That was one of Jase's special needs.

Right now if you are living in the US, you pretty much would have none to minimal waiting time for a referral from China for a little boy  ... because families are not waiting for little boys ... little boys are waiting for families.

If you are considering adopting, consider China!

OKAY, I'm done.  I can't help it, God has broken my heart for the orphans in China.  There are SO MANY orphanages within China, FULL of so many precious little jewels.  Sigh!

Our little jewel though,
is now ours!!
AND HE IS A GIFT!
A GIFT THAT IS NOW 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Kody loves to get in on the picture taking.  Here are my two littlest boys on Jase's birthday.  Jase is riding his new bike --- that he got to ride inside the house on his birthday!)

Tomorrow we have our last post-placement for Jase ... I can't believe it!!
