Biking on beautiful Lopez Island!

Does it get any better than this?

Is there anywhere more beautiful?

So we have to say for the record that we absolutely love the Great North West, Oregon, Washington and BC!!!

Can the evidence of God be any clearer?

How AMAZING that all of IT was made by a God who passionately loves each one of us! Not only do we love being outside for the sake of being outside, that every where we look it is beautiful, being outside also forces us and reminds us to stand in AWE of who God is; of His creativity, grace, mercy, love, power, soverignity ... He made this all for us!

This adventure included a one hour (or so) ferry ride out to Lopez Island (one of the San Juan Islands)! Sam and I used to do this trip with our bikes before kids, and for the last few summers since being back out West we have wanted to do it with our kids! As you can imagine, this summer was the first summer that we felt all 3 of our kids could handle it, the ferry ride and the extensive bike riding!

Sadly to say we did not see any other families braving the same adventure, we say sadly because we all loved it! The kids LOVED the ferry ride, they LOVED the bike riding, they LOVED playing on the beach in the water, and they LOVED all of the exploring! It was an absolutely PERFECT day!!!

This little adventure is now one of our favorite things to do in the summer time, and we want to make it one of our many summer traditions! Although we always remember Lopez Island being a FLAT Island, it was as not as flat this time around! Maria rode with Matteus on a bike seat and Sam rode with the girls in a bike trailer! We had a little bit heavier loads than the last time we took our bikes out!

Regardless, it was AWESOME!!
