The waiting ...
The "waiting" in the adoption journey is SO tough!
It crushes your heart each day to know that your child is not in your arms!
It crushes your heart each day to know that your child continues to live each day without the assurance and love of their mommy and daddy!
It crushes your heart each day to know that your child does not know that they are deeply loved and wanted by you!
It crushes your heart that your child has to continue to live the life of an orphan, versus that of being your son and daughter!
It crushes your heart to wait!
We are not even in the "full waiting" phase yet, as we are still waiting for our referral!
However we feel our little guy or girl is out there, and we long to know who he or she is!
It crushes our hearts that we do not know who he or she is and that he does not know who we are!
Obviously the "be still and know that I am God" part which God so clearly spoke to us and has repeatedly spoken to us is perhaps getting lost! However the meaning of that scripture is to make sure that you are totally trusting God to work out the details ... that we are 100% doing!
