YEAH!!!
The day went AWESOME!
"The day" being my 2nd day as a single parent =)
Sam is gone riding motorcycles for a few day in AZ, with a dear dear friend from NJ!!! I am seriously so stoked for them to be able to go and have this time! This friend (and wife and family) truly are one of our best friends (even with so many miles between us), and we adore them deeply! They are a family who share our hearts on I think almost every level! This family also has bio and adopted children!! We have had many treasured moments with this family and look forward to many more as we make trips from Coast to Coast!!!
The day started out with a BANG ... as the kids do not value sleeping in on Saturday mornings =) So we headed out to some garage sales, we had some friends doing a HUGE one as their adoption fundraiser. After hitting a few garage sales, we walked downtown to catch the parade. The kids did GREAT, every single one of them (YEAH)!! It is always a "bit" of a risk taking all six on an outing that involves HUGE crowds solo!!! After walking home and catching lunch out on the deck we hit another adoption fundraiser (another two dear friends selling created items - one of which I will blog about soon so you ALL can purchase some of her beautifully created things). The kids and I napped ... and then the rest of the day was spent OUTSIDE enjoying the AMAZING SUNSHINE!!! Ohhhhh, SWEET we finally had some summer weather ... 80 degrees ... this was our first really warm day! So of course the sprinkler came out!! I LOVE catching the kids in ACTION, as it so catches their spirits and the SPIRIT OF CARPE DIEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
