Does your heart bleed?

Does your heart bleed for the hurting?  Does your heart bleed for an injustice in this world?  Does your heart bleed for someone who God deems valuable, but yet who the world does does not?

My heart bleeds for many injustices, but especially that of the plight of the orphan.  The amount of orphans here in the US stuck in a broken system, and the amount of orphans around the world is staggering, and too much for my heart too comprehend.

Some of the orphans are not adoptable, and so for these orphans we all need to be their family and we need to do our part in taking care of them.  We need to be the hands and feet of Jesus to these precious jewels who belong to Jesus, we need to be HIS SKIN to them!

For however many of these orphans, especially many special needs orphans (with a wide range of needs), they are adoptable!!!  They can belong to a family!  They can have someone claim them as their own!!

The thought of little ones having no one to tuck them in at night, no one to put a bandaid on their hurts, no one to cuddle them, no one advocate for them, no one to keep them safe, no one to love them unconditionally with a passionate relentless love of a earthly father and mother ... makes my heart bleed.

Right now there is a 7 week old baby girl in West Africa waiting for a family.  No one has yet come forward to say, "yes, she is ours and belongs with us."  This precious waiting jewel does have a special need, arthrogryposis (which is more likely correctable through surgery).  Canadian families can not adopt her, because of different flawed systems within this country.  It will also be more difficult for larger families to adopt her.  E-mail me if you are interested ...

November is National Adoption Month.
This upcoming Sunday is National Orphan Sunday!!
